HATRED AND CHRISTIANITYWhy Christianity is mocked, vilified, misunderstood and hated by the world?
Jesus said in Matthew 24:9-10 "They will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name;s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another and will hate one another.Matthew 24:2 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.John 15:18 If the world hates you, you know it hated me before it hated you.If you were of the world, the world will love it's own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.John 16:2 They will put you out of the synagogues; Yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service. 2 Timothy 3:1 But you know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedience to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, head strong, haughty, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power and from such people turn away. Christians are hated in the Muslim world, hated by the Hindus, hated by the unbelievers in the western world.Muslims wants to convert everyone to Islam by force. Middle Eastern countries like Saudi Arabia prohibits worship by Christians or any other religion Hindus hate people worshiping Christ. Communists countries like China and Russia only allow state sponsored churches to exist.and persecute other Christians. In the so called Christian nations of the west persecute Christians in a different way.They like the idea of loving everyone,but the don't like Christians talk about sins of abortion, homosexuality or heterosexual promiscuity. They are quick to name Christians as homophobic,narrow minded and judgmental.The west also doesn't like Christians saying that Jesus is the only way to God.They claim that the Christians are narrow minded and offensive to other religions.They like the idea of many ways to God. The 21st century people want God as a symbol, someone sitting in the sky and not involved in our world.They do not like the idea od a God who demands obedience, righteousness and holiness. They do not like a God , who is exclusive and want a God who is inclusive, a God who ignores our sins, our immorality and our independence . They make up a god who suits their every desire, whim and fancy. The other reason the world hates Christians is that they claim that the Christians think that they are superior, holier, perfect and faultless. In fact the follower of Christ or christian is the one who thinks that he or she is a sinner, who cannot redeem themselves from their sins and desperately needs a Savior The bible teaches that everyone born of a woman has sinned and so needs a savior. God in His mercy provided a way through Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any one should boast. The bible also says in 1 Corinthians 1;14 . But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. Christians are also at fault in a way, they do not reflect their faith through their life. Christians faith and talk is not reflected in the way they live. They praise God, worship, sing, cry and go to alter every Sunday, but there is no change in the way they live from Monday to Saturday,there is no difference between the way they live from the lives of unbelievers. The Christians talk about the teachings of Christ but they do not follow them.Jesus came down hard on the religious leaders because their teachings and life style did not match. Christians here is a Challenge for you, if you call yourself as a follower of Christ show Christ by the way you live.
