God's Grace.
Ephesians 2:8 or by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; It is a gift of God, not of works lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
From the above verse we are created for good works and we should walk in them.
God's grace when we meditate upon it should produce gratitude. If Jesus did not sacrifice Himself for us , we will be still in our sins and there is no other way to be saved. We will only have to look forward to judgement. Jesus has given us the gift of salvation, which is free to anyone who by faith receives it. Jesus said in Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. John 3:17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. Acts 2:21
And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Acts 16:31 so they said," Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household. Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 2 Timothy 1:9 Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before the time began,
We have to accept the sacrifice Jesus made, His sufferings, death and resurrection by faith, then we are saved. when we accept His sacrifice , this should produce gratitude and love for Him and fellow humans. This in turn will enable us to forgive the trespasses committed against us by others. Remember the wicked servant, who was forgiven enormous debt by the king and was not willing to forgive his fellow servant who owed him little.(Matthew 18:23-35)
Because we are saved by grace, it doesn't give us permission to live a life of sin. God hates sin, He has changed His position about sin in the new testament.
Hebrew 12:14 pursue peace with all people, and holiness , without which no one will see the Lord: Looking carefully lest any one fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing us cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright. For you know that, afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessings, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears. Hebrews 12:28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
Ephesians 1:7 in Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to His grace. Beloved God's grace is sufficient for any circumstance that we may face.(2 Corinthians 12:9) He is Almighty God, He is the alpha and Omega, The Beginning and The End. Let us not cheapen His grace, which cost Him lots of humiliation, sufferings , and shedding of His precious blood by our careless, casual and sinful life. Romans 6: 1-4 what shall we say then? shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? or do you not know that as many of us were baptized into death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we should walk in newness of life. Romans 6: 12-14 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you obey it in it lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to God.For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. Romans 6:18 And having been set free from sin, you become slaves of righteousness.
Just because we are saved by grace, we cannot live our life as we please God will ask you this question! Jeremiah 7:9-11 Will you steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense unto Baal, walk after other gods whom ye know not; And come and stand before Me in this house, which is called by My name, and say, we are delivered to do all these abominations? Is this house, which is called by My name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the LORD.
Do not despise the grace of God.
Amos 3:2 You only have I known of all the families of the earth: Therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.
Jesus said in Luke 12: 47-48 And that servant who knew his master's will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.
Christians who know the word of God be careful.
Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows , that he will also reap.
